I have been riding motorcycles for more than 40 years, switching to BMW early on and sticking with it. With one exception, all boxers, today I ride a 1200 RT. I often undertook the long tours as a solo rider, which gave me maximum freedom of choice, but also had disadvantages in the event of problems. Otherwise with a group of 5 to 6 people who have also been riding together for a very long time. Together with the group or on my own, I've ridden from Norway to the northern Sahara, from Portugal to Israel and a detour to China was also fantastic. My focus for 2024: Turkey - Black Sea - Georgia - Azerbaijan (provided the ban on overland travel is lifted by then).
