The year 2025 was above all a year of important milestones for Kurviger. With the completion of the Android Auto beta and the introduction of Apple CarPlay, a key wish from our community was realized. In addition, there were numerous improvements to navigation, operation and stability that make Kurviger more reliable and convenient in everyday use. In this review, we summarize the most important updates and innovations of the year.
The Kurviger app celebrates its birthday
Before we go into the innovations of the past year, we would like to thank the entire Kurviger community. We are delighted by all the feedback, support and trust, which has motivated us and accompanied the development of the app from the very beginning. In December, the Kurviger app (K3) celebrated its third birthday. Since the first beta version at the end of 2022, we have been continuously developing Kurviger. We are already looking forward to everything that 2026 will bring and wish you many winding roads, relaxed tours and a safe journey.
Big step forward: Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
A real highlight this year was the further development of Kurviger for cockpit displays. Android Auto has been out of the beta phase since May 2025 and offers significantly more stable navigation, lower battery consumption and advanced settings. Improved zoom, the display of speed limits and the current speed provide a better overview. A lot has also happened on the Apple side. With the CarPlay update in April, navigation now also runs directly on compatible motorcycle displays.

New import
The revised route import was also one of the important improvements in 2025. Existing routes can now be transferred to Kurviger much more easily. Thanks to automatic waypoint optimization and live preview, routes are displayed clearly and precisely as soon as they are imported.
You can find all the important information about importing routes into Kurviger in our Kurviger knowledgebase. There we explain step by step which formats are supported and what you should pay attention to when importing.
Find POIs directly along the route
With the new search function along the route, route planning has also been significantly improved in 2025. Petrol stations, campsites, hotels, restaurants and many other interesting places can now be found along the planned route and added directly to the route. This makes both planning and orientation on the road easier and ensures better prepared tours. You can find all the details about the function in the Kurviger knowledgebase and on our YouTube channel.
Further improvements in 2025
In addition to the major highlights, 2025 also brought many targeted improvements that make Kurviger even easier to use:
- Offline improvements: Offline use has been strengthened – e.g. through better offline storage functions and bug fixes on older devices.
- Extended export: GPX export has been further extended, e.g. with support for various navigation devices.
- Navigation: With the update in August, the Kurviger app was given a speed-based zoom. Since mid-2025, relevant actions such as “Sound on” or leaving the route have been announced directly during navigation.
- CarPlay fine-tuning: CarPlay has also been further improved, including follow mode with active route, better day/night behavior and optimized position of the navigation arrow.
- UX improvements: The operation of the app has been further simplified and made clearer. This makes planning and navigation more intuitive.
- Stability & internal revisions: Many updates contain internal improvements that fix bugs and improve navigation performance.
- Cloud & storage: The maximum number of cloud recordings has been increased so that you can synchronize more routes and favourites.
Of course, that was by no means all. Over the course of the year, many other small and large improvements have been incorporated into the app, often triggered by your feedback. If you want to delve deeper and are interested in all the changes in detail, you can take a look at the changelog at any time. All updates are fully and transparently documented there.
