Posted by Once again this year, it was time to put on our helmets, start our motorcycles, and head off to the Kurviger Summer Meetup! This time, our destination was Maßbach in Lower Franconia: the perfect starting point for plenty of winding rides through the Rhön and all the way to the Odenwald.
As always when the team gets together, we traveled from all corners of Germany and even from Austria. Depending on the route, some of us got pretty wet on the way there, but by the time we sat down to dinner together, the weather was quickly forgotten. We checked into our vacation apartment at the Brandmühle and let the first evening wind down in a relaxed atmosphere—after all, the next few days full of twists and turns were waiting for us.
Curves, ice, and plenty of ideas
After a good breakfast (our boss still cooks for us himself 😉), we set off rightaway on our first tour through the Rhön. Of course,we took photos of thepoints of interest we visited so that others can get a better idea of the places before their next trip.
And as is customary for a Kurviger meetup, we couldn’t miss out on our first ice cream break. We kept stopping at beautiful scenic spots to enjoy the scenery, and made a stop at the Hohe Geba, among other places.
Throughout the entire Meetup, there was plenty of shop talk and brainstorming about new ideas for Kurviger. And not just during the stops or over coffee, but also while riding, through our headsets. After all, many ideas don’t come from sitting at a desk, but right where Kurviger is used: in the middle of a beautiful motorcycle ride.

That’s nowhere near enough
On the second day of the tour, our route took us to Meiningen, among other places. We stopped for another ice cream break at the market square, and with our bikes parked there, we naturally had to take a group photo.

In the evening, we wrapped up the day with some Franconian cuisine at an inn, before continuing to brainstorm ideas for Kurviger over a relaxing beer back at our lodging.
On the last day of the tour, we finally headed toward the Odenwald for another delicious ice cream break. At the southernmost point of the tour, we said goodbye to a colleague who had to head home early. The rest of the group then continued on at a leisurely pace, stopping for coffee and visiting Basaltsee (also known as Tintenfass).

Until next time
Our time together went by way too fast, and after one last breakfast together, we packed up and finally loaded the motorcycles. Then everyone headed back home (not without a pretzel for the ride home, of course).
Once again, we’re taking home not only lots of wonderful memories and great rides, but also plenty of new ideas, fresh inspiration, and motivation. It’s exactly this direct exchange—both on and off the motorcycle—that makes the Kurviger Summer Meetup so special every year. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
