Posted by This summer, the Kurviger team met up in Upper Franconia – a region that not only has a lot to offer in terms of scenery, but also provides ideal conditions for outdoor work sessions and joint activities. Normally we all work remotely, spread over a large geographical area from Hamburg to Innsbruck. So it was all the nicer to have everyone in one place again, to work on the further development of Kurviger at the same table and, of course, to enjoy a few “purely professionally motivated test drives” through Franconian Switzerland.
Work, bends and team spirit
After the long journey the day before, we start our time together in beautiful summer weather with a video session on the motorcycles, because content is just as much a part of it as code. Over the next few days, more and more of us join in until almost the entire team is on site. When so many Kurviger team members come together live at the same time, it’s always something special and the atmosphere is simply great and full of energy.
In our work sessions, we discuss current and future features, develop new ideas and sharpen priorities. The result is (as usual) a long list of improvements and exciting approaches that we will implement step by step.
Summer evenings with Kurviger
After work, it’s always relaxed: Motorcycle tours through Franconian Switzerland, a really scenic hike to the nearby beer garden, barbecues in the garden, balmy summer evenings by the fire – just the right mix to wind down, philosophize about new visions and refine concrete ideas.
On tour as a team
Of course, we then do the only right thing at the weekend: an extended, winding tour through the beautiful countryside of Upper Franconia. After a relaxed breakfast out, we hit the road – sunshine, bends, ice cream breaks and a little photo session included.

Even the best times come to an end
After breakfast on Sunday, we load up our bikes again and set off in all directions back home. Now we go back to work with a lot of motivation, strengthened team spirit and lots of new inspiration and are already looking forward to the next kilometers together, on the road and in the app 🏍️
