New navigation interface (UI)
Alongside planning, navigation is the heart of Kurviger and this is where we have carried out an extensive redesign. The new navigation interface is more modern, clearer and even better tailored to driving.
Customize background & transparency
With the update, you can personalize the appearance of the navigation interface in Daylight Mode even more.
- Adjust the background color of the navigation interface (dark, light)
- Set the transparency of the UI elements (Off, Light, Strong)
This allows you to adapt the navigation in day mode perfectly to your preferences.
How to access the display settings of the navigation interface
To customize the display of the navigation interface, first open the planning view. Tap the Kurviger icon at the top left of the screen to switch to the settings.
In the settings you will find the Navigation section. Select the Display item there. The menu then opens where you can specify how information is displayed during navigation.
iOS CarPlay: Optimized for iOS 26
We have also significantly improved the CarPlay experience for iOS users. Apple has made extensive changes to CarPlay with iOS 26. This resulted in some display and operating problems on the system side. We have specifically adapted Kurviger to the new framework conditions so that navigation is stable and reliable again.
This means in detail:
- Optimized interaction with the current CarPlay system under iOS 26
- Corrected map display – the map is displayed completely to the edge again
- Improved resizing of map elements – elements that were previously displayed too large have been rescaled
This means you can use CarPlay with Kurviger on iOS 26 as conveniently and clearly as usual.
New cloud functions: Photos & profile pictures
This update makes the Kurviger Cloud even more personal and informative.
Upload photos to public POIs and favorites:
You can now upload photos of both public points of interest and your personal favorites. This provides more context to exciting places and meeting points and visual memories of your favorite spots.
Photos can be easily added to public POIs as well as to your favorites. To do this, open a POI directly via the map or via the search and switch to the detailed view. In the Photos section, you will find the "Add photo" button . You can either select a picture from your gallery or take a new photo directly, for example while on tour. Once you have uploaded the photo, it will be added to the POI.
It works the same way with favorites: Open the desired favorite in the detailed view and add a picture in the photo area. This allows you to visually design your saved places and make your planning even more personal.
Profile pictures in the cloud:
Profile pictures now make your Kurviger profile even more personal and lively. Upload a picture and give your account an individual touch. Whether it’s a photo of yourself, your motorcycle or your favorite spot.
