The Black Forest in southwest Germany is the highest low mountain range in Germany. Among bikers, the Black Forest is probably one of the best-known and most popular motorcycle regions in Germany. Internationally, the Black Forest is also one of the best-known destinations in Germany, especially for its cuckoo clocks. The most important cities in the region are Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Baden and Pforzheim.
Particularly well-known motorcycle routes are the Black Forest High Road and the Schauinsland. In between there are many small roads, fantastic bends and high roads with fantastic panoramic views. The highest point in the Black Forest is the Feldberg at 1493 m above sea level. The Feldberg Pass is the second highest mountain pass in Germany at 1231 m above sea level.
Due to the popularity of the Black Forest, it is advisable to plan your own tour accordingly. If possible, we recommend Black Forest tours outside the vacation season and on weekdays. The Schauinsland is also closed at weekends and on public holidays.
