Motorcyclists will find ideal conditions in the southwest of North Rhine-Westphalia to escape the confines of the Ruhr region. On the one hand, there are the Rhenish Slate Mountains with parts of the Eifel, the northern parts of the Sauerland, the northern sides of the Rothaargebirge and parts of the Westerwald, to name just a few of the landscapes characterized by low mountain ranges. In the east, the Weserbergland offers interesting routes.
