Norway is a dream for motorcyclists. Countless fjords, breathtaking views and wild nature. Whether it’s an off-road adventure or a trip to Nordkapp or Lofoten, everything is possible here.
You should definitely be aware of the strict speed limits in Norway. Sometimes you have to drive straight ahead for long stretches at limits of 60-80 and the police are no fun at all. My personal tip: cruise control, I wouldn’t go to Norway without it. Incidentally, motorcycles are normally exempt from tolls in Norway.
When planning your tours, you should definitely bear in mind that many of the smaller roads are unpaved. Especially when planning with the Kurviger, the routes often lead off the main roads and therefore often on unpaved roads. Please bear this in mind when setting the route options – especially with regard to “Avoid main roads” and “Avoid unpaved roads”. However, Google Streetview coverage is pretty good and you can simply right-click on the map to switch to Google Maps and check the road quality.

We were going to Norway, not to the North Cape, but to Norway. In addition to many day trips, a four-day round trip was to take us to fjords and fells and the breathtaking nature of Norway was to give us unforgettable impressions.
