The Vogelsberg is located northeast of Frankfurt and is Europe’s largest extinct volcano. The Vogelsberg borders on the motorcycle regions of Spessart and Rhön and is located in Hesse. Motorcycling has a long tradition in the Vogelsberg region, and the Schottenring, which was one of the oldest race tracks in Germany, is well known.
